10-Year-Old Girl Who Disappeared After Argument With Relative Found Safe

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police say a 10-year-old girl who disappeared in Detroit after getting in an argument with a relative has been found safe. 

About an hour after asking for help locating Sherita Strickland, police said the girl was located safely. No details about her recovery were provided.

Strickland was reported missing around 12:50 p.m. Saturday from a local business in the 21700 block of Grand River Avenue, between Lahser and McNichols Roads on the northwest side. Her mother told police that she ran off from the location after getting into an argument with a relative. 

Police thank the public for their assistance in locating Strickland.
