14-Year-Old Boy Never Makes It To School, Goes Missing

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking the public for help locating a 14-year-old boy who seemingly vanished on his way to school. 

Police say Jamaree James was last seen by his mother around 8 a.m. Friday, June 22 at their home in the 19300 block of Blake, not far from Woodward and 7 Mile Road. His mother told police that James left for school and never returned home. She was also contacted by the school, which said James never showed up for class that day.

James is described as a black male with a dark brown complexion, 5'5" tall and 100 lbs. with a thin build, short tapered hair and a thin mustache. He was last seen wearing basketball shorts, with a blue and black backpack. James is in good physical condition and mental condition, but police say this is not the first time he's left home and failed to return.
