CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) - A 19-year-old Macomb County woman is accused of driving drunk, causing a fatal cash in Clinton Township.

Charges against Morgan Joan Coley of Macomb Township were amended Monday, according to Clinton Township police, following the death of an 81-year-old man.

Police said Coley was driving northbound on Utica Road at Edsel Street, late Thursday night, when she crossed the center line -- crashing head-on into a southbound vehicle driven by Hans Gerhard Schwallbach of Grosse Pointe.

Schwallbach was taken to Henry Ford Hospital, and Coley was arrested, charged with operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, a 5-year felony.

Schwallbach died of his injuries Friday night, according to police, and on Monday the Macomb County Prosecutor upgraded Coley's warrant to operating while intoxicated causing death.

Coley was out on bond over the weekend and it's unclear at this time when she will next appear in court.

She faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
