NOVI (WWJ) - Police are investigating after a young woman was found dead in Novi yesterday.

Officers responded to a call at the Oakland Glens Mobile Home Community on Rousseau Drive at around 4 a.m. and found the victim -- since identified as 21-year-old Tia Joe -- inside a home.

She had been fatally shot, according to police, who ruled Joe's death a homicide. An autopsy was scheduled to take place Monday.

A 6 or 7 month old baby was also found in the home, and was transported to Mott Children's Hospital in stable condition.

This is the second suspicious death at the same mobile home park in a year. Derrick Dixon was convicted of strangling his wife to death during an argument at their home in the park.

An autopsy is pending. Anybody with any information should call Novi police at 248-348-7100 or Crime Stoppers at 800-773-2587.
