4th Of July Block Party Erupts In Gunfire In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for a gunman who shot three people at Fourth of July block party on the east side.

Police say a crowd was gathered around 12:14 a.m. Thursday in the 12700 block of Wilshire, off Outer Drive and Dickerson Avenue, when shots rang out. 

A 17-year-old girl, 18-year-old boy and 27-year-old man were all shot. Both teens are in stable condition while the man was last listed in critical condition. A 20-year-old man was also injured while running from the area; he remains hospitalized is stable condition with a fracture. 

Police say the suspect was walking down the street when he opened fire. No motive has been determined. He's described as a black male, 5'7" tall, wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts.
