5-Year-Old Michigan Boy Calls 911 To Ask For McDonald's

WYOMING (WWJ/AP) - A 5-year-old west Michigan boy had a craving for McDonald's but his grandmother was sleeping, so he thought police could help him out.

Iziah Hall, of Wyoming, called 911 on April 14 and asked the dispatcher: "Can you bring me McDonald's?" Dispatcher Sara Kuberski told him no, but reached out to the police.

Officer Dan Patterson said the request made him laugh, so he stopped at the fast-food joint on his way to check on Iziah's home.

"I figured hey, I'm driving past McDonald's on my way there and I might as well get him something," Patterson told WZZM-TV

When the officer got to the house, the first thing the boy said to him was, "My grandma's gonna be so mad, can you please go away?"

Patterson said the boy called from a cellphone that was deactivated but could still make emergency calls over WiFi, much to the surprise of his grandmother. He said the incident was a learning experience for both.
