Car Strikes Motorcycle In Detroit, Bike Passenger Dies, Driver Flees

The motorcycle driver is still at large.

(WWJ) A car collided with a motorcycle on Detroit's east side Monday morning, leaving one man dead.

Police say the motorist and his passenger were traveling southbound on Gratiot about 1:45 a.m. when the bike collided with a vehicle being driven by a 31-year-old woman. She was heading northbound and attempting to turn left when she struck the bike.

The 26-year-old passenter on the bike was critically injured. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.

The motorcycle driver fled the scene on foot.

He's still at large, according to WWJ Newsradio950's Michael Cohen.
