Community-Wide Shabbat Solidarity Services In November

October 29, 2018 - 7:18 am

DETROIT - In honor and memory of the victims from the Tree of Life Synagogue mass shooting - congregations across metro Detroit will host a special service.

Congregations across Jewish Detroit and throughout the nation will host a special Shabbat service in honor of the 11 people killed in the attack on the Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday.

The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit looks to honor the memory of the victims and "repudiate the poisonous legacy of anti-Semitism by filling our congregations during Shabbat as a proud and unified community."

The special Shabbat services will be Nov. 2 and 3.

There is no cost and you do not need to be a member to attend.

A list of local congregations can be found HERE. (Please visit the congregation websites to confirm location and times of Shabbat services).
