DETROIT (WWJ) -- Authorities released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with a murder over the summer.

Authorities say on Aug. 26 around 9:35 p.m. 25-year-old Jalen Paris was shot and killed while inside his vehicle. Paris was reportedly driving in front of 2341 Fullerton Avenue near Linwood Street on the city's northwest side when witnesses observed a male suspect shooting at the vehicle.

Paris crashed into several parked cars, according to police.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early to mid-20s with a frail, thin build and dark complexion. Witnesses say he has a small unkempt black fro, a clean shaven face and dark eyes.

At the time of the shooting the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, white gym shoes and was armed with a blue steel handgun that authorities believe may have been a .45 caliber.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest for Paris's murder.

All rewards are paid anonymously and those who submit tips will remain 100 percent anonymous. Rewards are paid when an arrest is made; Crime Stoppers does not wait for a conviction to pay the reward.
