DETROIT (WWJ) - Shown Tripp was dropped off by his cousin on May 1 along the Detroit River Front to fish. That was a Tuesday -- almost two months have passed and he hasn't been seen since.

Police and family of Tripp are pleading with the public to help find him. While a family member says he has been out of contact for a few days at a time in the past -- he's never gone this long without contacting family before.

Tripp usually takes the bus or walks where ever he goes.

"He usually pays his phone his bill but his phone has been off for 2 months," a family member told WWJ. They've checked the credit union where he banks and didn't get much information. Police are now looking into the transactions that were made on his account in the last 60 days.

"He goes fishing down off Jefferson," according to family, "the people at the bait store haven't seen him."

Tripp is 5' 10" with a slim build, gray hair and a dark complexion. He's 56-years-old. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with multicolors on it, blue jeans and a Winnie the Pooh baseball hat.

If you have seen Tripp or have any information about his whereabouts you are asked to contact Detroit police at 313-596-5740 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK UP.
