Detroit Police Searching For Missing 79-Year-Old Man With Dementia

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing man who suffers from mental health issues.

A serious missing person alert was issued for Arthur Williams Jr. after he went missing Saturday afternoon.

Police say the 79-year-old Williams was last seen around 1:45 p.m. Saturday at his residence in the 14000 block of Woodmont on the city's northwest side. Williams was wearing a green Spartans baseball cap, a black t-shirt, black khaki pants and brown slip-on shoes.

After leaving the location on foot, his family says they are concerned because Williams just moved in with his family and is new to the are.

Williams is described only as a black male; no height or weight was given by police. He is in good physical condition, but suffers from Dementia..
