DETROIT (WWJ) - A Northville attorney is representing a woman who claims that she was sexually assaulted a member of the 1980's pop band Duran Duran.

A Los Angeles woman says she was working at a record store when Simon Le Bon came in for an autograph signing in April of 1995.

Shereen Hariri, now 47, says the lead singer touched her genitals.

Attorney Sarah Prescott, who is representing the woman, is speaking out. She says a meeting between Hariri and the England born Le Bon, 59, fell through.

"She kind of came to the point where she said, 'what am I doing?' I mean, I've had this experience, I've kept silent about it for a long time and I experience, you know, a lot of stress and anger when I  just walk through the Whole Foods and I hear "Ordinary World" playing. Why am I keeping this in and what could I do about it? What are the options available to someone like me?"

The statute of limitations is up - preventing Hariri from filing any kind of lawsuit.
