Ferndale Teen Vies To Win Up To $15K Scholarship With Anti-Texting And Driving Video

(WWJ) A Ferndale high school student is hoping her catchy tune pays off in scholarship dollars.

Adelaide Wilson, 17, wrote a public service announcement about why you shouldn't drive and text. And then she put her words to music and put the music inside a fun video. See it HERE.

Why did she record this?

Turns out, Wilson has committed to Columbia College in Chicago, an expensive school. Her parents said if she wanted to go there she'd have to get creative on financing.

That's when she found Toyota'sTeenDrive365 Video Challenge:

If she wins, Wilson could get a scholarship of between $5,000 and $15,000.  Two other students from Michigan are also trying for the scholarships.

If it moves you, vote for a deserving student to win some bucks HERE.
