Forecast: Storms Tonight Have Chance To Produce Tornadoes

DETROIT (WWJ) - We'll be keeping our eye on the sky Tuesday as storms this evening could produce severe weather, possibly even a tornado. 

Forecasters say there's a slight risk for severe weather with thunderstorms that are expected to move into southeast Michigan tonight.

The National Weather Service says storms could become severe during the 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. window, with the greatest risk between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. Damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph will be the main hazard. 

Forecasters say isolated tornadoes also can't be ruled out, especially toward the southern Michigan border.

Tuesday -- Variable clouds with a shower or thunderstorm. High 76. Low 61.

Wednesday -- Clouds giving way to some sun. High 68. Low 47.

Thursday -- Times of clouds and sun. High 67. Low 53.

Friday -- Times of clouds and sun. High 70. Low 49. 

Saturday -- A passing afternoon shower. High 64. Low 49.

Sunday -- Partly sunny. High 64. Low 53.
