(WWJ) Good news for Michigan drivers: Gas prices are continuing to drop.

AAA says the average price of a gallon of gas dropped 14 cents from last week to about $2.51 a gallon.

That's about 29 cents lower than this time last year. Compared to last week, Metro Detroit's average price decreased about 10 cents to $2.55 per gallon.

The lowest prices were found in Saginaw, at $2.38 a gallon; Flint, $2.42, and Grand Rapids, $2.45.

The most expensive gas prices averages were found in Ann Arbor, $2.61, metro Detroit, $2.55, and Marquette, $2.53.

AAA of Michigan says lower demand and lower prices of crude oil have contributed to the decline.
