(WWJ) With just a few words, police announced that a young woman missing and feared in danger is back home safe.

Officers thanked everyone for their help spreading the word about Ashleigh Pietrangelo, 16, who was last seen at about midnight on Wednesday, Aug. 14.

They said she was located with her boyfriend in Roseville.

"The family appreciates all the help. The circumstances of her leaving made the family very uneasy and this is why we put this out to the media. But she is fine and thanks again for all your support," police said in a message.

At one point, the family feared she was being held against her will. She was last seen running from her family's apartment in the area of 15 Mile and Garfield roads.

Police say Pietrangelo has been known to frequent locations in Fraser, Roseville and Clinton Township. She has reportedly been spotted in Roseville near the area of Martin, Hillview and Waverly streets, getting in and out of vehicles; she appeared pale and in poor physical condition.

Local investigators worked with the U.S. Marshals to help locate her.
