DEARBORN (WWJ) - A guilty plea Monday from one of two people charged in the shooting of two children in their home daycare.

Defendants Timothy and Samantha Eubanks are charged in the non-fatal shootings of two young children under their care while in the unlicensed daycare they operated in their Dearborn home.

Police say their three-year-old son found one of the couple’s unsecured guns in their home and shot two other three-year-old kids.

The victims survived but suffered serious injury - likely needing long-term care.

Timothy Eubanks pled guilty as charged to six counts of child abuse second degree.

He will be back in court on July 10 for sentencing.

Samatha Eubanks case is going to trial -- which begins on July 16 before Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Cynthia Hathaway.

The two are not allowed unsupervised contact with their own six children who are currently with relatives.
