Hazel Park Man Charged With Killing His Father

August 31, 2018 - 8:11 am

HAZEL PARK (WWJ) - Murder charges have been filed against a Hazel Park man accused of killing his father.

The 65-year-old victim, Jim Arbow, was found in the basement of his home on Harding Street, near 9 Mile Road between Dequindre and John R, after he was reported missing on Tuesday.

Justin Arbow, 25, was arrested just north of Lansing hours later after police put out a bulletin about him.

Police say the 25-year-old Arbow appeared in court Friday afternoon and will remain in jail while his case moves through the system.

Officials say Arbow suffered several blows to the head. Hazel Park Police Chief Brian Buchholz told the Royal Oak Tribune that Arbow was struck with a metal chair.

A motive for the murder hasn't been released, but Buchholz said the father and son had been involved in multiple arguments since the previous weekend.
