Here Comes A Heat Wave: Highs In The 90s This Weekend

June 15, 2018 - 6:55 am

DETROIT (WWJ) - The first heat wave of the season is about to hit metro Detroit.

Forecasters say southeast Michigan will see highs in the 90s on Saturday and Sunday.

AccuWeather Meteorologist Dean DeVore said Friday will be comfortable with low humidity and temperatures in the mid 80s. And then things will get hot.

"The humidity will start to rise tonight and tomorrow will be hot and more humid," said DeVore. "We'll get up to 91 Saturday and then Sunday will be the hottest day -- mid 90s and Real Feels near 100."

The heat will hang around on Monday, too, with temperatures in the low to mid 90s. Tuesday won't be as hot but it will still be humid, DeVore said, with highs in the low 80s.
