October 20, 2018 - 12:32 pm

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's going to be a blustery day across Metro Detroit.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory, in effect from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday for St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Wayne, Lenawee and Monroe counties.

Forecasters say we'll see sustained winds around 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Gusts could even exceed 50 mph at times, especially with with showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon.

Downed tree limbs and power lines are possible and may lead to sporadic power outages. Winds this strong can also make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Winds are expected to diminish by midnight.
