DOVER, Del. (WWJ/AP) - Police in Delaware's capital city would like to know who dropped a house onto a two-lane road.

The Dover Police Department says someone abandoned the prefabricated home, blocking traffic at least until Wednesday.

In a Facebook post that had been shared thousands of times, the department posted pictures of the house -- which was draped with a banner that said "oversize load" -- and said  "this is not a joke."

Joke or not, amused comments have been pouring in on social media.

Bobby Brown asked, "Is there a witch underneath it?" while LeAndra Lyon-Barnett surmised: "Lord, it'll be a meth lab before they tow it off."

Others expressed interest in moving in, some sharing their phone numbers. One man said he's homeless, needs help, and sure could use it.

Police said Long Point Road would not closed until further notice, and advised drivers to use an alternate route.
