Inkster Police Searching For Suspect In Fatal Shooting

The gunman got away in an orange/red colored Challenger.

INKSTER (WWJ) - Police are searching for a gunman suspected in a double shooting that left one man dead Thursday night in Inkster. 

Michigan State Police Lieutenant Mike Shaw telling Newsradio 950 that a man fired shots into a parked van after a brief exchange ---just before 4 p.m. near the intersection of Harrison and Somerset streets near Cherry Hill Road. 

"The driver of the Challenger exited the vehicle - walked over to where the driver of the van was -- they exchanged conversation for a bit, and the male driver of the Challenger pulled out a handgun and fired shots into the van," says Shaw. 

Both victims were transported to Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn. One victim has died the other victim remains in very critical condition.

The gunman got away in an orange/red colored Challenger.  Police say the incident may be drug-related.
