August 19, 2019 - 1:12 pm

MONROE TWP. (WWJ) - An investigation is underway after a fisherman was found dead along the River Raisin in Monroe Township.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said a group of kayakers found the body of 66-year-old David Michael Tedora on the riverbank, in the 300 block of S. Custer Road, on Sunday.

Tedora, identified a Monroe Township resident, was known to fish in the area, according to investigators.

Deputies responding to the scene found there were no signs of foul play, or anything to suggest that the man's death is suspicious.

An autopsy will be conducted by the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office to determine how Tedora died.
