LANSING, Mich. (WWJ) -- A Lansing Secretary of State branch is closed until further notice after a shooting outside the office Monday morning.

Police are searching for two people involved in a shooting outside the office in the 3300 block of E. Michigan Avenue around 11 a.m. Monday. Authorities say they arrived to the scene around 11:00 but did not locate any victim or suspect.

Police said an on-scene investigation, as well as witness accounts, suggest a male subject was standing outside in front of the office and was shot at by someone in a vehicle. The bullet went through the window and WILX in Lansing says people inside the building were "shuffled to the back" to stay safe. No one was injured.

The suspected shooter and the person that was shot at both fled the scene before police arrived.

The Secretary of State announced Monday night the branch will remain closed until further notice and transactions can be made online or at other SOS branches.

Lansing police released photos of people who are believed to have valuable information pertaining to the shooting -- a 6-foot-3 man in a white shirt believed to be 18-20 years old, a man in a dark jacket believed to be 18-22 years old and a woman in her 30s or 40s.

Anyone who recognizes the people in the photos or has other information regarding this case should call the Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600 or Detective Martha McGonegal at 517-483-4823.
