April 13, 2019 - 3:04 pm

DETROIT (WWJ) - It might be spring, but Old Man Winter is about to rear his ugly head again.

Forecasters say a late season storm will bring rain and snow to metro Detroit on Sunday.

The storm will move into the area in the morning and persist throughout Sunday night. A few thunderstorms are also possible. Locations across southeast Michigan could see rainfall totals around an inch.

Forecasters say the snowfall might be brief but it will be heavy and wet. Visibility could be reduced in falling snow and some roadways could become snow-covered.

High winds could also cause potential flooding along the Lake Huron and Lake Erie shorelines, as well as possibly Lake St. Clair. Gusts around 30 mph are expected.
