Man Caught On Video Stealing Air Compressor From Waterford Gas Station

Police are asking for tips to identify the suspect

WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) - Waterford Township police are asking for help from the public to identify the culprit in an unusual theft.

The suspect was caught on video stealing a tire air compressor vending machine from the Clark gas station at 3510 Highland Road, near Cass Lake Road, at around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 14.

Police said the man used the machine to air up a tire on a silver four door Pontiac Grand Am SE (1999-2005). A short time later, he unbolted the machine and dragged it away, and is believed to have loaded it into the same vehicle.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set white male around 40 years old, with a shaved head. He was wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
