CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) - A Clinton Township man is facing criminal charges after allegedly firing off a shot in Budd Park Tuesday night.

Residents were told to shelter in place after someone saw the suspect, 35-year-old Brandon Pasanski, with a rifle at the park, located near Clinton River Road and Romeo Plank.

Police launched an intense search, with drones and a helicopter, that lasted for roughly eight hours. Pasanski was eventually taken into custody around 3 a.m. Wednesday after either passing out or falling asleep.

Police say one shot was fired, which stuck a vehicle in the park that was occupied by a man. No injuries were reported.

Pasanski was arraigned Friday from the hospital, where he is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation, on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, a four-year felony, and felony firearm, a two-year felony. Bond was set at $100,000 with the condition he be placed on a tether if released.
