DETROIT (WWJ) - A 28-year-old man is fighting for his life after his vehicle was struck by a car that ran through a stop sign on Detroit's west side.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday at Outer Drive and Whitcomb, just east of Greenfield Road.

Police say a car with four teenagers ignored a stop sign on Whitcomb and slammed into the man's SUV, which was traveling on Outer Drive. He was taken to the hospital and last reported in critical condition.

The teens -- ages 14, 18 and two 19-year-olds -- were also transported to the hospital, all in stable condition.

Police are still trying to figure out which teenager was driving the vehicle.

An investigation is ongoing.
