20-Year-Old Man Nearly Drowns In Lake At Stoney Creek Metropark, Taken To Hopsital

The man is listed in critical condition

SHELBY TWP, Mich. (WWJ) -- A man is in critical condition after he was pulled from the water at Stony Creek Metro Park in Shelby Township Saturday night.

The Macomb County Sheriff's office says the man is 20 years old.

Emergency crews say he was trying to swim across the Stony Creek Lake when he got caught in underwater weeds.

Rescue crews, with the help of a kayaker on the lake, were avle to recover the man. They performed CPR and brought him back to shore.

He was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.
