NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - The search is on for the suspect who robbed a local CVS Pharmacy at gunpoint.

It happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday at the CVS on 6 Mile and Haggerty roads in Northville Township.

According to reports, the suspect stormed into the store with a sawed-off shotgun, pointed it towards the clerk and demanded the worker empty the register -- all while customers were in line.

The robber, who was wearing a white ski mask, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He may have fled the scene in a silver, 4-door Dodge Charger with black racing stripes.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.

An investigation is ongoing.
