Man Struck When Drive-By Shooter Fires Into Home

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are trying to track down a suspect who injured a man during a drive-by shooting on Detroit's west side. 

The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday on Heyden Street, near Evergreen Road and Warren Avenue. 

Investigators tell WWJ the 38-year-old man was inside his home when he heard a car pull up and gun shots were fired through the front door. He was struck in the leg and taken to the hospital for treatment; last reported in stable condition.

Other circumstances surrounding the shooting weren't immediately clear. 

The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. No description was provided.
