Man Wanted For Punching, Robbing Man At Detroit Gas Station

The suspect fled the scene in a white Chrysler Sebring.

DETROIT (WWJ) -- A man is on the run after allegedly punching and robbing another man at a Detroit gas station Monday morning.

Detroit police say a 66-year-old man was at a Marathon gas station near the intersection of 7 Mile Road and Dequindre Street on the city's east side around 8:45 a.m. Monday when he was approached by another man. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and struck him with a closed fist before forcefully taking an unknown amount of money.

The suspect fled the scene headed northbound on Dequindre in a white, older model Chrysler Sebring. 

Police released surveillance pictures of the suspect, who they describe as a black male with medium complexion, with a goatee and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket with stone washed blue jeans and red, white and blue Nike shoes.
