ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WWJ) -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in an assault at a Roseville bowling alley.

Police were called to Apollo Lanes Wednesday night where a group of bowlers were said to be creating a disturbance. When one male worker told the group to leave, several bowlers surrounded him at the counter.

Video captured the employee, a 28-year-old from Roseville, being punched from across the counter. Meanwhile, a second suspect went behind the counter and began violently punching and kicking the employee in the body and face.

As the man continued to attack the employee, the same man who threw the first punch picked up a barstool and threw it at the employee. He then proceeded to pick up a bowling ball and smash it on the employee's back.

The employee fell to the ground and both subjects continued to kick the employee in the head prior to fleeing the location.

The employee was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The suspect who used the barstool and bowling ball is described as being in his early 20s, weighing around 200 lbs. He was wearing a black baseball cap, white t-shirt and a black short-sleeve button up shirt. Police say he had a close-shaved beard and tattoos on his arm.

Authorities continue to search for him, while the other man has been identified by detectives. It is unclear if he has been arrested.

Roseville police are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or witnessed the incident to contact them at 586-447-4510 or 586-447-4484
