Metro Detroit Ice Cream Truck Driver Killed In Fiery Crash

INKSTER (WWJ) - An ice cream truck driver has been killed in a crash in Inkster.

It happened early Thursday afternoon, along northbound Middlebelt at Carlysle Street. 

According to police, a crash involving a car and an ice cream truck caused the truck to roll over and catch fire. The driver died, police said.

His name has not been released. 

The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital, according to reports, but it's unclear how seriously he or she was injured. 

Other circumstaces, including who was at fault, are also unknown at this time as the investigation continues.
