(WWJ) A Michigan man allegedly shot his two-year-old son in the face during a dispute with the child's mother -- and now he faces multiple charges.

Michael Glance, 32, faces three counts of assault with intent to murder and three counts of felony firearm. He was arraigned last week and is being held on a $10 million bond.

Assistant prosecutor Kati Rezmierski told the Jackson Citizen Patriot the parents of the child were fighting when the tmother tried to leave their home in Blackman Township in west Michigan. The mother had the child with her, Glance allegedly followed them with a shotgun and opened fire. He shot through the window and "blew half of his face off"as the child sat in a car seat, the prosecutor said.

“For whatever reason, Mr. Glance decided to take his anger out on his 2-year-old child that day,” Jackson County Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Kati Rezmierski told the Jackson Citizen Patriot.

Officers said Glance drove off but was caught a short time later. He is due in court again May 1.

The boy has undergone multiple surgeries, per reports and is at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor.
