Motorcyclist Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver At Red Light

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police tracking down the driver who ran over a motorcyclist in downtown Detroit and kept going.  

The crash happened Wednesday night at the intersection of Grand River and Cass avenues. The motorcyclist works downtown and was heading home from dinner with friends when he was struck by a red Pontiac while waiting at the traffic light.

The Pontiac fled the scene. 

The victim's condition is unknown, but he was talking with medical officials at the scene.

Investigators are hoping to review surveillance video of the crash from several nearby security cameras.
