(WWJ) Police don't have much to go on as they search for suspects in a triple shooting that left one man dead in Inkster.

Gunfire rang out at around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the 4000 block of Hickory at Spruce Street, in the neighborhood's community garden area.

The Michigan State Police Second District Special Investigation Section and Inkster Police responded to the scene to find one shooting victim dead. Police said the victim was a man, although no further information about him was released.

Two more shooting victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time, although it appears they were well able to speak with investigators.

As MSP detectives arrived, there were over 100 people on the scene, according to police.

"None of the crowd saw or heard anything," MSP said. "Two witnesses who spoke with Inkster Police gave false names and addresses. The two shooting victims have provided little information on the homicide victim."

Reports say there may have been two shooters, and that the suspects were wearing ski masks.

Those details were not immediately confirmed by MSP, as detectives are continuing to piece together what happened.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information are asked to call 734-287-5000 or leave an anonymous tip on the MSP Mobile App.
