VIDEO: 1 Killed, 2 Injured In Barrage Of Bullets At Southwest Detroit Gas Station

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are investigating a triple shooting and murder at a gas station in southwest Detroit.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday at the Exon station on the corner of South Fort Street and Schaefer.

According to police, a white Dodge Caravan occupied by three or four masked suspects followed a black 2010 Ford Taurus vehicle into the gas station, which has Project Green Light cameras, and fired shots at them.

Reporting live from the scene, WWJ's Mike Campbell said evidence markers indicate that more than 70 shots were fired. 

An innocent bystander, a 46-year-old man, was struck and fatally wounded as he exited the gas station.

Two people in the Tarurs, a 26-year-old man and 26-year-old woman, were struck. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and last listed in stable condition. 

The suspects fled northbound on I-75 and remain at large. They are described only as wearing masks and armed.
