(WWJ) A couple more malls in Oakland County malls will be closing because of the coronavirus.

Taubman Centers said Thursday that 12 Oaks Mall in Novi and Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills will be closed after regular close of business Thursday evening until at least March 29.

In some markets, restaurants or other tenants with exterior public entrances may stay open at their discretion.

“After numerous discussions with state and local officials, we will temporarily cease operations in all but two centers this evening,” said the company’s Chairman, President and CEO Robert S. Taubman, in a statement. “We are clearly in unprecedented times and this is right decision for our shoppers, retailers, employees and these communities.”

In some markets, restaurants or other tenants with exterior public entrances at enclosed malls may stay open at their discretion, as and to the extent permitted by law. Businesses with entrances inside of the mall will be closed.

Following is the full list of Taubman Centers malls that will temporarily close, nationwide:

While grocery stores remain open, some retailers — including Meijer, Walmart, Target, Kroger and Aldi — have announced reduced hours. Because hours could continue to change, it's a good idea, through the pandemic, to check with the business' website before you go.
