(WWJ) Please keep an eye out for this missing 14-year-old boy.

Detroit police are asking for help from the public to track down Jontae Singleton, Jr., who was last seen by his grandmother Friday, August 7, at around 1 p.m.

The grandma told police that she and the teen got into an argument at their home in the 4600 block of E, Outer Drive, near Van Dyke Ave. She left for awhile, and when she returned home, he was gone.

This is not the first time the teen has left home without permission and failed to return, according to police.

His mother thinks that he might have gone to the Grand Rapids area, and she is concerned for his welfare.

Singleton is described as a Black male, 5’6” tall and weighing around 150 to 160 lbs., with medium complexion and a low fade haircut. He last seen wearing blue jeans, slides with white socks, and carrying a worn red backpack.

Anyone who may have seen this missing teen, or who know of his whereabouts is asked to call Detroit Police 11th Precinct at 313-596-1140, or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-Speak-Up (1-800-773-2587).
