DETROIT (WWJ) -- Two people are dead and another is injured after a home invasion on Detroit's west side Monday afternoon.

Police say three people were inside a home on Santa Rosa Drive, near the area of McNichols Road and Livernois Avenue, when three intruders broke into the house around 1 p.m. and pulled a gun.

One person inside the home, reportedly a 17-year-old, was shot and killed during the home invasion, while another person inside the house was shot, but not killed.

Reports say the people who were inside the home at the time of the invasion fought back and one of the suspects was stabbed, before he and the two others fled the scene in a car. The suspect who was stabbed was found dead inside the car, a few blocks away near the area of 7 Mile and San Juan.

One suspect was eventually arrested, but Detroit police are still searching for the third intruder.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
