2 Men Fatally Shot Inside Car On Detroit's East Side

It appeared the Chevy Impala crashed into a fence.

DETROIT (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway after two men were discovered shot to death inside a vehicle on Detroit's east side early Monday morning.

Detroit police say the shooting happened around 2 a.m. near the corner of Eastwood Avenue and Barlow Street -- south of 7 Mile and east of Hoover. 

Police believe the two men were in their 30s. One man was found lying outside the driver's side door of a black Chevy Impala and the other man was in the passenger's seat. The car's doors were open when police arrived on the scene and it appeared as if it had crashed into a chain link fence, possibly as a result of the shooting

Authorities have not released the names of the victims have not given any word on potential suspects. Police are still investigating what may have led to the shooting.
