SOUTH LYON (WWJ) - A 70-year-old Oakland County man is being held on a $250,000 cash bond, on child pornography charges.

Following an investigation that began earlier this year, officers with the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant at the South Lyon home of Hal Jeffery Wiessbock, a registered sex offender.

Wiessbock was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 22, after police said they found he was in possession of child porn.

Wiessbock was arraigned on three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and one count of using a computer to commit a crime, according to police, and also faces an enhanced sentence as a habitual second offender.

Records show Wiessbock has a previous conviction for indecent solicitation of a child in Illinois in 2000.
