Annual Michigan Mega Food Truck Rally Postponed Over COVID-19 Concerns

(WWJ) The Annual Michigan Mega Food Truck Rally that was scheduled to take place July 4th weekend in Lake Orion has been postponed, citing the ongoing pandemic.

The event was slated for this Saturday at Canterbury Village.

It is tentatively rescheduled for July 19.

CEO of Canterbury Village, Keith Aldridge, released the following statement: “The health and well-being of our employees, vendors and guests are always a top priority for us, so we respect the health department's request to postpone this event.  We look forward to bringing this event to the community soon.”

The organizers say that had plans in place to enforce social distancing among the guests. Only 1,500 hundred people would be allowed per session in the 21-acre outdoor space. Two sessions were scheduled.
