BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ) -- The body of a missing Downriver elderly woman has been found in a landfill.

Trenton police say the body of 86-year-old Irene Kin was found late Sunday night in a remote area of the Riverview Landfill Preserve in Brownstown Township. Her 2002 Ford Taurus was also discovered at the scene, burned out.

Kin was reported missing in early February. She was last seen by a neighbor on Feb. 1 at a Fifth Third Bank on West Road, just west of Fort Street. Kin had reportedly withdrawn $200 from her bank account that morning and never showed up to church later that day.

Police say an arson investigator is examining the vehicle to determine how it was burned. Police are not sure whether Kin was in the car when it was burned.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause and time of death.

Trenton police said Monday night it did not suspect foul play in Kin's death.
