(WWJ) Dearborn police say a woman with disabilities who went missing Monday has been found safe.

Investigators had asked for the public's help to track down 66-year-old Sara Beatrice Garcia, who walked away from a doctor's office in the area of Michigan Ave and Maple at 2:45 p.m. on June 15. .

Police said Garcia is non-verbal with some mental disabilities, and is unable to care for herself. She recently moved to the Dearborn area from out of state, doesn't have a vehicle and doesn't know where she lives.

Issuing an update Tuesday afternoon, the Dearborn Police Department said Garcia has been located safe, but didn't offer any further details.
