DETROIT (WWJ) - Police say a man barricaded himself inside a home on Detroit's west side, after an argument with a woman.

The Detroit Police Special Response Team surrounded the house, on Griggs Street near Clarita, south of 7 Mile Rd., early Monday afternoon.

At 3 p.m., police said the suspect was in custody, and that there were no injuries.

As for what led up to the standoff, police said the suspect was in a dispute with a woman, at one point locking her outside house. Police said the man was believed to be armed, but there were no reports of shots fired.

It's unclear what charges the suspect may face as the investigation continues. His name was not released.
