Detroit Police Need Help Finding Missing Teenager

Benjamin Munnerlyn was last seen Thursday morning on the city's west side.

DETROIT (WWJ) -- The search is on for a Detroit teenager who was reported missing Thursday morning.

Benjamin Munnerlyn was last seen a little after 2 a.m. Thursday near his home in the 15000 block of Southfield on Detroit's west side. The 16-year-old hasn't been seen or heard from since, according to Detroit police.

Authorities say Munnerlyn is between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-10, approximately 150 lbs., with a slim build, medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black and white floral shoes. He was also carrying a black backpack, police said.

Munnerlyn is in good physical condition and mental condition, according to police.

Circumstances surrounding Munnerlyn's disappearance are unclear, but police are asking for the public's help in tracking him down.
