Police Search For Missing Detroit Man With 'Serious Illness'

No one has heard from Brandon Gaddy since Jan. 8.

DETROIT (WWJ) -- The search is on for a Detroit man who hasn't been seen in more than a week.

Detroit police say 34-year-old Brandon Gaddy was last seen by his mother in the 16700 block of Greenfield Road, just south of McNichols Road on the city's west side, around 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 5. Authorities say he has not been heard from since Jan. 8, when he sent a text message to his mother.

Gaddy is described as about 6-foot, 190 lbs., with brown eyes, medium complexion, short hair and a full beard. He was last seen wearing an olive green zip-up jacket, olive green jogging pants and blue loafers.

Gaddy has a tattoo of Mickey Mouse on the left side of his neck, as well as the words "born by Aries" on his left forearm and "Jasmine Angel" on his right arm.

Police say Gaddy is in good mental condition, but is reported to have a serious illness. Authorities did not disclose the nature of the illness.
