DETROIT (WWJ) - The suspect remains at large following a fatal pedestrian crash on Detroit's east side back in March. 

Detroit police say a 27-year-old man was walking in the street in the 18000 block of Dequindre St. near Nevada Ave. around 1:30 a.m. on March 17, 2020, when he was struck and killed. 

An unknown suspect, who was driving a 2011 or 2012 white Ford Escape SUV, did not stop at the scene and continued driving southbound on Dequindre.

Police asked the public to keep an eye out for the vehicle, which sustained heavy front-end damage — but no helpful tips have come in yet.

On Tuesday, police said there's nothing new to report as they renewed their request for information in the case.
